Maret is looking for an inspiring and engaging English teacher who reflects the school's mission and core values. Candidates should be lifelong learners who have experience differentiating instructional strategies, strong communication skills, and a facility and nimbleness with technology.

Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to and passion for equity, inclusion, and belonging in all facets of their work. The position, supervised by the Chair of the Humanities Department, includes serving as an advisor and one or more community responsibilities.

The successful candidate will:

• Have demonstrated expertise in teaching English at the middle school level; experience teaching history a plus
• Display excellent classroom management skills and enthusiasm for working with middle school students
• Be committed to professional development and collaboration with colleagues across disciplines
• Place the individual learner at the center of the learning process, embrace different teaching and learning styles, and exhibit a deep passion for teaching and working with students of all ages and differing strengths
• Have a minimum of three years teaching experience
• Have a master’s degree (preferred)

Compensation will be between $70,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications."
